Unboxd Media is a creative digital-first studio and marketing consultancy based in Los Angeles that specializes in making branded entertainment worth watching.  We collaborate with brands, digital and television networks and studios to develop, produce, distribute and market long and short form entertainment designed to earn media, engage audiences and impact the bottom line.

WILSON CLEVELAND

founder and executive producer

Wilson Cleveland is an experienced storyteller, digital thought leader, online video pioneer and award-winning producer with over a decade of experience pioneering innovative ways for brands to connect with their audiences across media channels.  

Wilson created The Temp Life - the first-ever branded web series for Spherion Staffing and has since created, developed, produced, distributed and marketed award-winning, scripted series for USA Network, Lifetime, IKEA, Trident, Vox and New Form, the digital studio co-founded by Ron Howard and Brian Grazer.

Prior to founding UNboxd in 2006, Wilson worked on the agency side, creating and executing paid, earned, social, shared and owned media campaign strategies for industry-leading financial, technology, and business-to-business clients like Capital One, TD Bank, Hiscox, Bloomberg, EY and Dun & Bradstreet, among others; and developing innovative measurement methodologies to provide clients with meaningful insights to grow their business.

He built and led a specialized marketing and business development practice for emerging, venture-backed digital media and entertainment companies including NBC Universal, Generate, My Damn Channel, Crackle, Vuguru, TheWB.com, MSN, Hulu, Babelgum, 5min (acquired by AOL), ScanScout (acquired by Tremor), Double Fusion and Adconion.

On the agency side, Wilson also managed traditional and social media relations activities for clients including BMW Performance Driving Center, GE Capital, Edward Jones, Siemens and Gartner Group; most notably executing  BMW/MINI Financial Services first-ever social media marketing campaign to launch the MINI Visa credit card.

Named among Fast Company’s Best Entertainers on the Web and the Producers Guild Digital 25 to Watch, Wilson is also a SAG-AFTRA actor, three-time Webby Award honoree, two-time Streamy Award winner and a recipient of NATPE's Digital Luminary award.

He is a graduate of Boston University, current member of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) and the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS).
